EXTREME HEAT
In the interest of player & referee welfare we have made the difficult decision to cancel Aussie Hoops and Junior Domestic Games tomorrow morning due to the extreme heat that is forecasted. The last thing we want to do is risk putting anybody in a potentially harmful situation.

We have also had many enquiries about the BQJBC double header this weekend. Basketball Queensland have their own Heat Policy which largely leaves decisions about games in the hands of the Court Controllers at each venue. There is no blanket specific temperature for the cancellation of games. At Runaway Bay we will have a thermometer there and will be monitoring the conditions inside the stadium as early afternoon progresses and making decisions as we go.

Thank you for your understanding and we hope you can appreciate that these decisions are not taken lightly and that we have the best interests of our members at heart.
